Today, you will write.
Today’s newsletter has been generously created by the incredibly talented author Camila Castro.

Today you will write because, simply put, you are a writer. You will write because you've chosen to dedicate your precious time, energy, effort, and love to this writing craft. You will write because you have stories worth telling -- poems and novels, memoirs and essays, journal entries and musings -- that are all waiting for you to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. It doesn't matter if you share them with others or not. It doesn't matter if they are based on reality or figments of your imagination. All that matters is that you will write them. Yes, it can be a capricious process. Yes, there are days you find it frustrating. Yes, there are times when you stare at the blank page with dread, and not a single word pops into your mind...and even if one does, it's not the right one, in fact, it feels like exactly the wrong one. Yes, some days you will delete or throw out entire sentences, paragraphs, and even pages of words you've poured your heart and soul into, and you will wonder if it's all a pointless exercise. But you will keep writing. You will keep writing because, at some point, you made a choice to write. You decided that you are a writer. So, today you will write because you choose to do so...and that is all that matters.
